Michigan Presque Isle Lodge
Built-in 1920 by Newell Avery Eddy Jr., the Presque Isle Lodge is a National Registered historical landmark. The Lodge is located midway between Alpena and Rogers City on Michigan’s “Sunrise Side”. Nestled in a scenic wooded setting and across from gorgeous Grand Lake, The Lodge offers an unrivaled experience in relaxation and enjoyment. Since 1986, the Spencer family has owned and operated the Presque Isle Lodge. Your relaxation and enjoyment are our highest priority. It will be our pleasure to share with you all of the many delightful aspects of the Presque Isle Community which includes six historical landmarks. The Lodge is open seasonally on Memorial Day through Labor Day.

We climbed the old light house, visited the quarry, went to the potato fest craft show, and bought apple cider at Knaebe’s Mmmuchy Krunchy Apple Farm and Cider Mill (and I did all the driving…missed six deer). But, by far the Lodge was the best of all. Breakfast was GOOD! (I loved having Robin cook for me). Steve was a gracious host and fun to talk to. It was the best 2nd honeymoose we have ever had! “Wow – This is late I know ! Its hard to believe Aryn is now married and living in Everett, WA! After their honeymoon up in the U.P., they came to Lansing, packed the U-Haul & moved across the country. Last weekend they flew back to Lansing for the reception for family & friends here. It was a whirlwind trip. Tim’s mother put together a masterpiece video from start to finish that I would love to show you sometime! It highlights the lodge inside & out and is a wonderful reminder of the memorable celebration. This note is to thank you for your making all of it happen! My mother was a witness to all that unsurpassed past, present & future. Few weddings are so special! Gary was able to give a short history of Presque Isle & the lodge at the reception so others could sense our “awe”. I heard many compliments on the lodge – both my in-laws (Tim’s family) and Gary & I & friends were pleased with our rooms and the delicious breakfast provided. It was a perfect way to centralize everything for the 2 nights & 2 days up to and following the wedding. Also it was an ideal place for the reception! Your generosity was greatly appreciated!
